Heart Touch Therapy-Compassionate Therapy for Mind Body & Spirit

As a Transpersonal Counsellor, Art Therapist, and Embodied Movement Practitioner, I offer an integrative approach to therapy that honours the connection between mind, body, creativity, and spirit. I recognise that healing can emerge through various person-centred practices; counselling, creativity, embodiment, mindfulness and symbolic exploration. Together, we discover the approaches that best support your unique needs and goals. I believe that every person holds an innate capacity for healing, growth, and transformation. My role is not to provide all the answers, but to walk beside you with compassion, curiosity, and respect as you reconnect with your own inner wisdom, strengths, and resilience.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Transpersonal Therapy?

Transpersonal Therapy is a holistic approach to counselling that supports healing, self-discovery, and transformation. It combines evidence-informed therapeutic practices with mindfulness, body awareness, creative expression, and contemplative approaches to help you explore not only life's challenges, but also your deeper sense of purpose, meaning, and connection.

Drawing on the work of Carl Jung and Carl Rogers, alongside insights from Eastern philosophies and wisdom traditions, Transpersonal Therapy recognises that emotional wellbeing is closely connected with our mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual lives. Rather than focusing only on problems or symptoms, it invites you to reconnect with your inner resources, wisdom, and resilience, trusting that the capacity for healing already exists within you.

At the heart of my practice is a person-centred philosophy. I believe healing unfolds within a relationship built on empathy, authenticity, unconditional positive regard, and deep respect. I don't see myself as the expert on your life—you are. My role is to walk beside you as an equal, offering a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences, discover your own strengths, and move towards the fullest expression of yourself.

Depending on your needs, our work may include conversation, creative processes through art therapy, embodied awareness and movement, meditation, breathwork, guided imagery, dream exploration, and other reflective practices. These approaches can help access emotions, insights, and inner wisdom that may be difficult to reach through words alone, supporting healing on emotional, physical, psychological, and spiritual levels.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, or a longing for greater meaning, my intention is to support you in reconnecting with yourself and creating lasting, meaningful change. Together, we work to uncover the strengths, wisdom, and possibilities that already exist within you, empowering you to live with greater authenticity, balance, and fulfilment.

A session typically runs between 60 and 90 mins so allow 90 minutes, although this can be flexible depending on your needs and schedule.

Yes, sessions are available online. Ensure you have a quiet, private space and an internet connection. Before our session I will send you a link and all you need to do is click on it at the time of our session.

No, there is no artistic ability required to be able to do Art Therapy. Artistic expressions that you create whilst in a session are your expressions, that bring something from within yourself out so that you can look objectively at them and learn or understand more about your self or the particular topic that you may be working with. Examples of expressions can be simple mark making on a page, scribble drawings or drawing with the non dominant hand. We are allowing other parts of our being to come forth and express, rather than expressing from the mind only.

Yes, in this practice stillness is also considered movement. Embodied Movement is allowing bodily expression, it offers another means of moving through and beyond whatever it may be that we feel needs to be shifted or expressed. It may be in silence or accompanied by music, depending on the needs of the individual.

I have found profound and magical results in the therapy sessions with Teresa. Teresa has such a warm, humble, grounded and non-judgemental presence that I felt safe to open up. Her gentle guidance allowed me to come to ground breaking realisations through comfortably traversing the unknown. Throughout the whole duration of the sessions I felt held and safe and I also felt fully supported in between sessions.

Teresa empowered me to believe in myself and feel confident about doing further work on my own. Each session I had was unique and revealed  something surprising - a new layer of energy, a memory, a hidden layer to my psyche, a new image I have of myself.

I look forward to return to Teresa to dance and be guided in holistic healing, because I find the work I do with her brings about massive positive shifts, is strengthening and fortifying.

Teresa has a unique wisdom which has helped me unlock an era of celebration for my life now.

Thank you so much Teresa 💝

Teresa has a natural warmth and caring about her. I think as someone who can get abit stuck in my head I really enjoy the opportunity to be more consciously embodied in a held and supported space.
